Neighborhood Ministries
Dara Walker, April, 2006
Spring has Sprung... and Central is in motion.
There are so many things to do and participate in. It brings one of my favorite
songs to mind: “Consider the Lilies, how they grow. They neither toil
nor spin, and look at the birds who never sew, yet
your heavenly Father feeds them. Tell me, how much more valuable are you than
they? Tell me, why do you hurry? Why do you worry? Ye men of
little faith.”
Maybe because it is that I am running frantically behind today that I feel as
though God is telling me to take a deep breath before moving another inch.
Looking into the month ahead there are many things for us to be involved in. IHN is the week of April 2nd-8th.
There is a neighborhood walk on Sunday, April 9, to put out flyers inviting our
community to our Church-wide Picnic and Easter Egg
Hunt on Saturday, and to dinner before the Franklin Graham Festival on Friday,
April 21st; not to leave out all the team meetings, small group
get-togethers and other special events we all have planned. In all this hustle
and bustle the main thing to focus on is the event, the man, the Christ that
gave us this beautiful life eternal.
Please take time to participate in one or more of the special events this
month, but don’t forget to take time to let the Holy Spirit fill your heart.
